Samuel Gordon Drummond
TKS 1942 - 1946

Sam, the son of an Old Boy, William, (TKS 1911-14) grew up on a property in Lockhart before commencing at TKS in 1942 in Macarthur House. In his final year, 1946, Sam was a member of the Senior Athletics team and a House Monitor. He served in The King’s School Cadet Corps as a Cadet Lieutenant. Letters he wrote home, and associated ephemera, donated to the Archive Collection, give us a rare insight into the life of a Boarder during the time of the Second World War. Sam passed away in 2009.
