Sam Drummond Letters 5
Letter writing was an activity encouraged on a Sunday Afternoon. In this letter Sam describes his leave , cricket and tennis. His family grazed sheep as he asked when his father was "starting dipping". His mother had obviously sent a care package as Sam proclaims that he has lost the cake tin. Reference to WWII was mentioned when Sam and his friend Bob McCrone (TKS 1940-43) went to the Movies to watch the Newsreel which featured the fighting in New Guinea.
