Sam Drummond Letters 3

While the letter is dated 1941, from the Student Accession Register we know that Sam enrolled at TKS in 1942. Sam and his mother are visiting Sydney for him to be measured up for his uniform and Sam has written to his father William. Sam was taken to the School where his luggage was taken to Macarthur House. Sam was in Remove A where he met William (Bill ) McCrone. He wrote that he liked his meals but wished he was back home riding with his father. The School practiced a "blackout" and Sam noted that the siren , (presumably the air raid siren) was enough to give you a headache. The boys were to be prepared for possible air strikes.
