1939-1945 War medal was awarded to Wallace Washington Brown for at least 28 days full time service in the Armed Services between 3 September 1939- 2 September 1945 Obverse: Profile of King George VI , crowned facing left with the inscription GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX ET INDIAE IMP. (George VI by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain and Emperor of India) around the profile. Reverse: A lion (Britain) Standing on top of a double headed Gragon with the dates 1939, 1945 on the right. The 3.2cm ribbon colours of red,white and blue represent the Union Jack.
