SF Mort Medals


Military Cross, 1914-1918 Star, Defence Medal and Victory Medal and Oak leaves medals belonging to Stanley Fremantle Mort (TKS 1903-09) . Receiving a Broughton and Forrest Exhibition he graduated from Queen's College Oxford MA in Civil Engineering. Enlisted in the Royal Engineers, Stanley saw duty at Gallipoli, France and Flanders 1915-1919. He was mentioned in Despatches and awarded a Military Medal which was presented on the Field. He also served in the Second World War with the Royal Australian Artillery as an instruments officer testing amd modifying specialised equipment for Artillery use.
