Rowing oar blade


Blade only of the 1920 1st VIII Crew who were the first TKS Crew to win the AAGPS Head of the River for VIII's. The names of the crew are written on the blade. This win set in place a tradition whereby the crew of an AAGPS winning team would be awarded an oar. There is a complete oar hanging in the Museum donated by the family of CC Stephens and another in the Thomas Pavilion. Blades have sign writing with names of crew and stencilled School crest Bow GCS Stephens 10.2, HL Ryrie 10.2, EM Moore 10.12, FL Thomas 10.10, JC Cameron 12.8, FA Goldsby 11.6 JC , AB Erby, Stroke SO Martin 10.8 11, Cox SJ Spencer Nolan
