Rear Admiral Doyle's Bicorne Hat
Rear Admiral Doyle's bicorne hat with twisted gold bullion loop and stripe set on a black grossgrain ribbon cockade and affixed with a brass button. Bullion tassels are affixed to the left side & fore and aft peaks, fine seal skin fur outer cover. White silk lining. Size 7I/4 Manufactured by Gieve Matthews and Seagrove Ltd London Portsmouth, Devonport, Weymouth, Chatham Edinburgh, Sheerness and Dover. He was appointed Rear Admiral in 1942.
