Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Medal V2


Queen Elizabeth Coronation Medal 1953. A silver medal 3cm in diameter. On the Obverse is a crowned profile of Queen Elizabeth facing right. On the reverse is the Queens Cypher above which is a crown. The inscription around the Cypher reads Queen Elizabeth II Crowned 2nd June 1953. The ribbon is 32. cm wide with a narrow white edge and two dark blue striped in the centre. Of the 129,051 medals minted, 11,561 were awarded to Australians, including this one to Alan Cathart Maitland TKS 1908-13.
