Secret Blueprint Map of Fonquvillers and Gommecourt for NZ Division. Trench placements are marked on the map. Gommecourt was about 8 miles from Albert. It was the site of an offensive by the British against the 2nd German Army in 1916. During the 1918 German Spring offensive an Allied attack was successful and on 28 March the threat to Gommecourt ended
