Matinee Concert Program

Matinee Concert Program held at Her Majesty's Theatre 14 May 1915 in aid of the National Belgian Relief Fund.Present at the concert was the His Excellency the Governor Sir Gerald Strickland and Lady Stickland and the Lord Mayor of Sydney Alderman Richards, accompanied by his wife. The Concert consisted of singing, dancing and performances of "Bardwell and Pickwick" and "The Spirit of Belgium rising from the ashes of Louvain". There was an auction held to raise funds. This was one of many fund raising efforts both in Australia and overseas in response to the invasion of neutral Belgium by the German Forces in August 1914.
