Manning Medals 3


Victory Medal belonging to GO Manning. The Victory Medal was authorised in 1919 to persons who entered into a theatre of war from the 5 August 1914 until 11 November 1918. Obverse shows winged Victory. Reverse is a laurel wreath with the inscription The Great War for Civilization 1914-1919 Ribbon, purple edges moving through to a central red stripe similar to a rainbow, attached to the medal via a loop. This medal was given to his widow.
