Gas Mask

Gas Mask made of rubber with elastic fastenings connected to a rubberised fabric hose inserted into a chemical absorbent canister made of tin which is red/brown. The eye pieces are clear celluloid in metal rims. One is damaged. The base of the canister is inscribed 4A 1942 Richard Hughes Pty Ltd Sydney, WKH 6 E IV.M The rubber mask is stamped P/R Co 1/42. The elastic fastening is stamped No 4 III 2-4-42. THis refers to the type of headfastening. (See link)
