Broughton "Plan for the Formation and Regulating of The King's Schools"
As the new Vice-President of the Committee of the Trustees of the Clergy and School Lands, Archdeacon William Broughton presented the “Plan for the Formation and Regulating of the King’s Schools” before Governor Darling in January 1830. A second edition of the "Plan" was published in 1832 with slight modifications when permission to open The King's School Sydney primarily a day School and The King's School Parramatta primarily for boarders was given assent in a letter dated 21 March 1832 by Viscount Godrich The Colonial Secretary.
