Tanoa ni Vanua (Bowl of the Land)

My artwork reflects the rich cultural traditions and Fijian Indian heritage I have through the art of the kava bowl. This ceremonial vessel represents respect and community. Within the Fijian Indian community, the kava bowl represents peace and traditions. It represents respect and connections when shared at weddings and social events. Drinking kava, a traditional root beverage, together strengthens relationships and protects cultural heritage, spanning generations and fostering a sense of community.
