"Following my Nan's funeral, a large adult magpie flew into the room at her wake before proceeding to spend the next hours strutting around the room as if it was investigating the happenings. From then on, I see a magpie anywhere I go. From exams and assessments to birthdays and celebrations, there's always a magpie around, watching over, checking in."

Exploring the significance of talismanic heirlooms as a physical manifestation of life and memory, My Body of Work 'Meg, the Magpie, Memory, and Me' celebrates the strong familial bond between my late Great Grandmother ‘Meg Newton’ or ‘Nan’ and I following her passing in early 2017.
